no, it’s not a nikon or canon…it’s a samsung
today, around noon, i went by my grandparents’ home to water their plants in their yard. about halfway through, i came across a rose bush in their back yard. it was a large bush, so i spent a little more time giving the bush the water it needed.
now, i don’t claim to have thought of something original, or even too profound, but as i stood there staring at the bush i noticed something about it. if, in fact, our creator created this plant, then i think the rose bush tells us a little something about him…
he must be protective of what’s beautiful.
roses are considered to be one of the most beautiful flowers in existence, yet they have one of the most threatening defenses that a flower could have. why would there be thorns on the stem of a beautiful flower? to protect the flower.
now, i don’t want to bend this thought into something that it’s not; instead, i want to leave it there: our creator is protective of what’s beautiful.
if this thought is true, then i do believe there are many applications for us; however, i’ll let you figure out what it means to you.
for me it means that i should strive to protect the beautiful. it means that even when i see the thorny side of people, remember that something beautiful about them may exist. it means that as a soon-to-be husband, that i will forever fight to protect what i deem as beautiful: a wife and a family (and a dog).
